Document Composition Developer skilled in Visual Basic, SQL and doc-comp tools required to join a global communications company, for a remote working position, paying up to £40,000. As part of the development team, you will play a key role in the support, collaboration, leadership, and drive of the overall operations function.
In this role, the Document Composition Developer will be responsible for building bespoke customer document processing and data management solutions. You will develop and manage internal processing software including MI, web, print production management, invoicing, and reporting. Working closely with the solutions architect and other developers, you will support customers with their project requirements working towards timely service delivery. Further, as an experienced contributor, you will mentor junior staff where possible helping them to develop to their full potential.
The right Document Composition Developer will possess strong Document Composition tool experience (e.g. PReS Connect, GMC/Quadient, or similar). Visual Basic experience is essential with an ability to interpret code in preparation for transferring to new technologies. You will have extensive knowledge of creating solutions based on document processes – workflow, document interpretation, composition etc – together with a good understanding of SQL databases. Knowledge and understanding of Tharstern MI system would be desirable, but far from essential.
